Nursing Programme Abroad:There were numerous nursing programs that were introduced by the United States Health department soon after the year 2001 owing to grim situation of learned and equipped people in the profession of nursing.

Nursing is a profession which requires compassion and a good knowledge of the field. Though being a profession of compassion and care, there has always been a lack of enthusiasm and funding which could even help interested student to study.

There are three different types of nursing programs which are offered at different levels. There are undergraduate programs, graduate programs and special programs for nurse practitioners. Nurse practitioners are those people who already have been working in the medical profession.
Some of the very prominent colleges and universities in the United States of America which upheld the mission of producing more educated and aware nurses were American College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP), National Health Service Corps (NHSC), Upstate Medical University in New York and University of Michigan.

The goals of the big step taken in 2001 were to provide funding and scholarships to candidates who are interested in studying the field, providing new facilities, for providing more specialized training through advanced administration and faculty. The United States wanted to bring up the profession which was not looked up my most of the people who were looking forward to build a career in the medical field. It was very important to produce more experienced and medically aware nurses to serve people. In 2001, this came as a coveted opportunity for disadvantaged and minority group students.

Amongst the most famous nursing programs in United States were federal Nursing scholarships, scholarships offered by organizations and nursing associations in the country, scholarships funded by the state and scholarships funded by the colleges and the universities. Scholarships are funded by health and human service department of United States. Graduates and undergraduates can apply for it but they must have been accredited to some nursing programs. Apart from the scholarship amount, students also get a stipend amount of $1500 and after the program is over the student will have to serve health institution for a period of two years as per the guidelines.

The nursing programs offered by organizations and nursing associations of the country take the present and future responsibility of the candidates funding of education and other costs of living. Most of these organizations are not driven by profit and are driven by the motivation for community service.

There are specialized nursing associations which provide training in oncology, ortho science and neuroscience. Today students have opportunities galore to choose from. Maryland's education commission and Indiana's student commission are among the famous state funded schools that offer various nursing programs. Both graduate and undergraduate candidates having a GPA of 3 or more can apply. Colleges and universities started offering nursing programs as an initiative of health and human service Department.
