This page provides information for Nigerian students looking to study
abroad. This is a free service and is provided to assist brilliant
students from Nigeria who may be able to seize any of the available

Pauline Aviges-Graham Scholarship for African WomenOne scholarship with a value of £15,000 per annum for a
female applicant from Africa.


University College Cork (National University of Ireland)
Support Schemes Reduction of Non-EU Fee to EU Fee levels.1.        University College Cork provides a "Support Scheme for Students from
Developing Countries" which can allow for the reduction of fees from non-EU to EU
levels.
2.   PhD Postgraduate Scholarships: Fee Waiver for Non-EU NationalsThe University also provides a separate scheme for PhD students whereby well
qualified non-EU candidates can apply to have their fees reduced to the EU level. A
limited number of scholarships per year will be awarded on a competitive basis to
non-EU nationals. No more than three scholarships will be awarded annually in any
one faculty. It is the purpose of these scholarships to attract PhD students of the
highest level. These scholarships consist of a waiver of a portion of the normal fee.
Recipients will be responsible only for the normal EU fee. The determination of wards
will be made by the Interfaculty Graduate Studies Board (IFGSB).
3.   A limited number of Research Postgraduate Scholarships will be available
to suitably qualified candidates. The recipients of these Scholarships will receive an
award to the value of approximately €6,750 to €8,250 each and will have the
opportunity to tutor to undergraduate students. The application form can be
downloaded here or is available on request from the Faculty of Law office.
4     PhD ScholarshipThis scholarship is offered to enable the holder to complete a PhD Degree on any
topic (with any supervisor) at the Law Faculty University College Cork commencing
September 25th 2006 (or as agreed). The funding is associated with the Research
Chair in Law recently established at UCC and held by Professor Steve Hedley.
Applicants should hold a First Class or Upper Second Class Honours Degree in Law.
The scholarship is valued at €13,000 per year plus the payment of fees (to the extent
of the fee for European Union students). The successful applicant will hold the
scholarship for three years subject to satisfactory progression. For details on the

Prentice Information Technology Law Scholarship
This scholarship in the sum of €6,349 is funded by Matheson Ormsby Prentice
Solicitors and in addition the Law Department pays the candidate's fees to the extent
of the EU student fee. This scholarship will be awarded to a suitably qualified law
graduate to support LLM or PhD studies in information technology law (with a
preference for those undertaking the LLM Mode B and PhD Degree).
