WAEC GCE Registration Nov/Dec 2010 online SSCE WASSCE

WAEC,GCE,NECO:Candidates interested in taking part in the November/December 2010 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates are hereby informed that registration is ongoing online. According to the press release by WAEC, normal registration for WAEC GCE 2010 will run until June 18, 2010 and will cost N5,450. Candidates are advised to register as soon as possible as late WAEC GCE registration will attract a penalty fee of 5,000. Late registration for WAEC GCE 2010 closes August 1, 2010.
Interested candidates are expected to pay a WAEC GCE registration fee of N5,450 covering administrative charges e-learning fee, and information VCD to any of the approved banks or accredited sales agents nationwide. On payment candidates will receive two scratch cards one for WAEC GSC online registration and the other for checking your WAEC results when they are released. Candidates should note that banks and other sales agents are allowed by WAEC to charge N200 as commission.

Once you collect your scratch cards you should proceed to registration.waecdirect.org for your WAEC GCE online registration.
We advise all interested candidates for the WAEC Nov/Dec GCE 2010 to read instructions at the WAEC registration website carefully, before attempting registering. This will prevent unnecessary mistakes that can lead to amendments. Amendments will attract N5,000 penalty fee per entry payable to WAEC. Candidates must conclude their WAEC GCE registration within two weeks of their first access to the WAEC GCE registration website or within registration period whichever is shorter. All candidates are expected to have completed their WAEC GCE registration before registration deadline whether or not they have accessed the WAEC GCE registration website for up to two weeks or they will pay the late registration fee.
WAEC GCE Registration Guidelines
We advice all candidates to read the instructions at the WAEC GCE registration website carefully, before starting their registration to avoid unnecessary mistakes. We also advice candidates to download the blank registration form and study it in order to familiarize your self with the information required for their WAEC GCE 2010 registration. If possible print it out and fill it carefully, then go online to fill in the required information on the online WAEC GCE registration form.
The WAEC GCE registration website has lots of information for you. You can read the rules governing the exam; download the timetable; and syllabus at the WAEC registration website. There is also information to help you with a successful WAEC GCE registration. There is a step by step guide to help you with your registration, read that step by step guide familiarize yourself with the steps required to successfully complete WAEC GCE registration.
To start your registration click on Register button at the WAEC GCE registration website. Carefully fill the form required and create a password. Note your password and username as you may require them for accessing the website in future for continuing your WAEC GCE registration. Also keep your scratch cards safe or write down the PIN and serial number of your scratch cards somewhere in case you lose them. Carefully fill in all required information.

Notes on Passport Photograph
At some point in your WAEC GCE registration, you will be required to upload a passport photograph. You are advised to upload only good quality Black and White photographs. The background must be blue or red and the dimension should by 275 x 314 pixels. The size of your passport must be between 7 kilobytes and 15 kilobytes. There is a tool at the WAEC GCE registration website to help you validate your passport. ‘Wait and Take’ passports and coloured passport photographs are not allowed.
Notes about selecting preferred examination town
You are required to select the state and town you wish to write the WAEC GCE examination. The exact GCE centre will be automatically assigned to you by the system. Please note that you cannot change your examination town after submission. Think carefully before choosing your WAEC examination town.
When you have successfully filled all entries, click on the Submit button to complete your WAEC GCE registration. At the end of the registration your centre number will be automatically generated and a centre will be automatically allocated to you. Then you can print your admission notice/photo card.

NECO Result GCE/SSCE Exams 2010/2011 Registration results on CEMTP at www.nigerianexam.com

NECO SSCE 2011 starts very soon. Currently candidates due for the examination are putting finishing touches to their revision. Some are also scouting around for the NECO SSCE 2011 timetable. NECO SSCE 2011 Exams starts on June 1 however, most NECO candidates are likely to start their exams on Friday June 10 with Paper 1 - Practical Biology.

NECO has released result of its June/July Senior School Certificate Examination. The result, though better than last year's was still nothing to write home about. NECO June/July SSCE result was still very poor with less than 22% recording at least credit in English and Mathematics. Candidates who sat for the NECO June/July 2010 SSCE are advised to log on to NECO Nigeria Exam website with the same scratchcard they used for registration to check their NECO results. Meanwhile, registration for NECO November/December GCE Exams has commenced and will end on September 30, 2010.

NECO Result - No Record Found Issue
One common issue currently reported by candidates checking their NECO result is having the No Record Found message displayed instead of their NECO result. This could be because NECO may not have uploaded all results to the website. If you are having this problem, the solution is to wait for a couple of days and try again.

NECO GCE 2009 result was equally poor, here is a break down of NECO 2009 November/December GCE result:

No. of Candidates with NECO result of at least 5 credits with Eng & Math: 4,223 (1.8%)
Candidates with NECO result of at least 5 Cs with/without Eng & Maths: 12,197 (5.2%)

Meanwhile, NECO November/December 2010 GCE (External) Registration has commenced and will run until, September 30. Registration can be done at the NECO CEMTP website.

With NECO June/July result out, all eyes will now be looking for the NECO November/December timetable.
The National Examination Council, NECO is authorized to organise Senior School Certificate Examination, SSCE in Nigeria. NECO SSCE certificate is one credential required for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria. NECO SSCE may also serve as a minimum educational qualification for obtaining certain kinds of Jobs. You may also be required to present a NECO SSCE certificate in Jobs that require higher qualifications. An alternative/equivalent of NECO SSCE is the WAEC SSCE. If you plan taking NECO SSCE in 2010, this is the time to start preparing. NECO SSCE for those still in Secondary Schools will be held in June/July, while NECO SSCE for private students comes up around November 2010.

NECO SSCE Registration is available online for external and internal students via NECO CEMTP website, however NECO registration for internal candidates take place early in the year while NECO GCE registration for external candidates usually takes place in the third quarter of the year. E-registration is available for NECO June/July examination, but it is recommended that internal NECO candidates register through their respective secondary schools. So, if you are a secondary school student planning to take NECO SSCE, register through your school.

NECO is now a member of the Converged Examinations Management Technology Platform CEMTP, which seeks to offer a one stop platform for access to all examinations conducted in Nigeria. Currently NECO and NABTEB examinations can be accessed on CEMTP website at  www.mynecoexams.com At the NECO Nigeria Exams website, you can check NECO result, get info about NECO exams, and register for NECO exams.

Once you buy a CEMTP scratch card for N850 at a designated selling point, you can then create a CEMTP account and enter a profile. You can then register for any examination available on the CEMTP platform. Currently NECO and NABTEB examinations are available at CEMTP. You will still need to pay separate registration fees for each exam you are interested in. NECO results will also be available through the CEMTP website.

 NECO SSCE registration takes place early in the year. It is recommended you register for NECO internal exams through your secondary school. Registration for NECO SSCE GCE for private or external students third quarter each year. It will be through the CEMTP website. To access the website for your NECO registration, you will need to buy a CEMTP scratch card at a designated selling point for N850.

Visit the CEMTP website, scratch the card to reveal the PIN. Enter the PIN and the CEMTP card serial number in the box provided and press the signup button. Then you will create a profile by providing some basic info about yourself. Then Create a username and password to enable access the site in future and upload your photo of not more than 10 kilobytes, and click the submit button. Finally, click on NECO registration to fill out the NECO online registration form. Your CEMTP account is valid for one year and can be used to check your NECO results when they are released.

What is NECO SSCE and GCE?

NECO SSCE is an examination taken by students at the end of their secondary school education. The NECO SSCE certificate is a requirement for gaining admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria. NECO SSCE can also be used for securing jobs. An alternative to NECO SSCE is the WAEC SSCE.

Candidates seating for NECO SSCE/GCE are allowed to select up to nine subjects. Candidates are expected to pass five subjects at credit level to gain admission into a University in Nigeria. Most courses will require that the five credit subject must include English Language and Mathematics.

NECO organises other examinations like the NECO Junior School Certificate Examination, the NECO National Common Entrance, and the NECO Gifted Examination into Federal Academy Suleja.
